The Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Krakow, built at the beginning of the 17th century, is the first Baroque structure in Poland, clearly inspired by Italian architecture. Located on Grodzka Street, close to the Main Square, it stands as an impressive example of sacred art and an important landmark.

Founded by King Sigismund III Vasa, the church’s construction began in 1597 according to the design of Italian architect Giovanni Trevano. The church was completed and consecrated in 1635. The facade of the temple, modeled on the Roman church Il Gesù, is distinguished by rich sculptural decoration and a monumental appearance. Statues of the twelve apostles in front of the church's entrance add a majestic character.

The interior of the church is as impressive as its exterior. Richly decorated chapels, beautiful frescoes, and magnificent altars exemplify Baroque craftsmanship. Particularly notable is the main altar depicting the Conversion of Saint Paul. The church also houses a crypt where distinguished Jesuits and other important figures are buried.

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is not only a place of worship but also an important cultural center. Concerts of classical and organ music are frequently organized here, drawing residents and tourists.
